December, 2010, Simultaneous 5-axis Miling
Our new OKK VP600-5AX five axis machining center has arrived and been installed, further extending our hi-tech manufacturing capabilities. We can now mill shapes that were much more difficult to produce in the past, helping keep our lead times shorter and our costs down.

November, 2009, Sweep Elbow Molds
We have recently completed two interesting plastic injection molds for 90° sweep elbows. Both molds feature automatic rotating cores, one of which is even mounted on a slide. These complex molds attest to Superior Tooling's creativity, accuracy, and quality.
September, 2009, Political Action
Karen and Robbie Earnhardt joined with a contingent of mold makers visiting Senators and Congressmen from around the country to lobby for small manufacturers. As part of the AMBA's Fall Conference, small member groups had 56 meetings over two days, working on topics vital to manufacturers like Cap & Trade (pollution credits), and Currency Manipulation. As a proud American mold manufacturer, we also work behind the scenes to help strengthen our industry and our country.
January, 2009, Two robots in production
We have now implemented two fully automated robots to perform both milling and EDM functions around the clock. The System 3R Workmaster robots are loaded and programmed by day to maintain machine productivity even when completely unattended. Our machine and facility video cameras can even be accessed remotely to monitor progress from home or client sites.
